Scripps Clinic in Rancho Bernardo provides expert specialty and primary care services for the whole family. Conveniently located off the Carmel Mountain Road exit near the intersection of I-15 and highway 56, our doctors provide care to a number of communities in San Diego, including 4S Ranch, Black Mountain Ranch, Carmel Mountain, Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Penasquitos. More than 20 medical and surgical specialties, including allergy, cancer care, endocrinology, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, sports medicine and urology.

Join our Urgent Care Team, as a Specialized Services RN. You will perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.  Additionally, you will educate patients and documents patient interactions, practice infection control, and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice. You will triage using ESI Index and have good arrhythmia recognition as well as be comfortable using high risk medications.
This is a 12 hour full-time Day shift position  

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years as an RN in the ER or Urgent Care  
  • Current California RN License
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, & PALS for Health Care Provider
  • Must have rapid patient assessment skills and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • ESI Index and Epic experience
  • 3 or more years of Urgent Care experience
