Scripps Clinic is located on the Scripps Green Hospital campuses located in Torrey Pines.  With our commitment to quality patient care, we invite you to join our highly engaged Care team.


Join our Cardiology team as a Specialized Services RN in the Echo Lab within the hospital.  RN is responsible for the clinical preparation and monitoring of the patient during the Dobutamine stress echo and stress echo with the treadmill and other enhancement agents.  You will perform patient assessments and care tasks, including procedures and medication administration as appropriate. Additionally, you will educate patients and documents patient interactions and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care. This position will be located In the Echo Lab located in the Scripps Green Hospital.


This Casual position is an 8 hour shift predominantly Monday - Friday, with hours based on business needs and requires flexibility. May float to the Shiley or Anderson Outpatient Pavilions.

Job Requirements

Required:
  • •         Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN 
  • •         Current California RN License
  • •         Experience with peripheral  IV placement for administration of Definity   (image enhancement agent), or echo bubble study with agitated saline. 
  • American Heart Association BLS for the Health Care Provider
  • •         Must have rapid patient assessment skills and critical thinking skills
  • •         Must be patient centered, flexible and team spirited
  • •         Excellent interpersonal skills
 
Preferred:
  • •         Trained and experienced in telemetry rhythm analysis 
  • •         BSN
