Come support our Financial Services Team in this vital position that maintains fee schedules, clinic charges, and physician re-imbursement. Join a small influential team that makes a true impact in the Scripps Experience. You'll create a positive Scripps Health experience for our patients while being responsible for the following:

  • The Revenue Cycle Analyst will review and investigate errors, determine root causes and develop solutions and work with staff/departments across the enterprise to implement solutions.
  • Conducts analysis on a variety of accounts and reports, works to prioritize recommendations based on fiscal and volume impact.
  • Provides workflow design, and statistical analysis. Makes recommendations for policy changes based on results.
  • Other duties as assigned (i.e. ad hoc)
  • Under general direction, formulates and defines reports and data extracts based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Can identify processes and logic to deliver desired results for the business and user needs to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results output.
  • Responsible for extracting data and creating standard reports for the Business Services team and providing end to end Revenue Cycle Management support of performance trends (denials, edits, claim submissions, charges and ad hoc requests)
This is a Full Time, Salaried position at our Scripps Memorial La Jolla Hospital.
Focused on root cause identification and process improvement specific to Access.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of three years relevant Healthcare/Medical Office support experience in a team-oriented environment such as Business Office, IT, web, corporate operations and/or management related fields.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and stakeholders in the health care setting.
  • Ability to analyze and effectively apply concepts in technology, project management, and healthcare disciplines.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with KPIs, metrics, and analytic tools. Proficient knowledge of MS Office suite including advanced Excel skills (Pivot table/Pivot Charts)
  • Exhibits professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong client facing skills with proven ability to capture functional requirements from business leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, influence others, and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of Medical Accounts Receivables claim life cycle.
  • Proven organization skills including the ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

  • Epic training and/or Epic certification
  • Performance Improvement project management.
