The ideal candidate will adapt quickly to new environments and delight in learning how each site functions to prioritize patient care.
 
In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates actions for respiratory care. Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care. Performs other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort inthe unit. Responds to critical situations. Utilizes computer systems in perfoming position duties. Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.
 
This position is within Scripps System wide Resource Services (SSRS) Department.  Therefore, this is an internal Scripps Resource Team that has the opportunity to float to the following five hospitals: Encinitas, La Jolla, Green, San Diego and Chula Vista.  Please confirm your agreement with this requirement prior to submission of your application. Currently available in this role we have full-time, part-time, and casual (per-diem).

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills:Prefer one or more years acute care experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public. Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English. Technically competent inthe department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Required Certification/Registration:Current California RCP license required. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or American Red Cross CRP/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification required.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
