Job Description

In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates actions for respiratory care. Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care. Performs other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort inthe unit. Responds to critical situations. Utilizes computer systems in perfoming position duties. Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.
The types of opportunities we offer are as follows:

SYSTEM WIDE FLOAT TEAM - Permanent Scripps employees who support the day-to-day and short-term assignments.
Seeking casual, part-time, and full-time staff with night shifts.
SYSTEM WIDE RESOURCE TEAM - Permanent Scripps employees who support long-term assignments, typically 12 weeks in duration.
Seeking full-time staff with varied shifts.

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills: One (1) or more years RT Acute Care experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public. Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English. Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Required Certification/Registration: Current California RCP license required. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
Travel Requirements:  Work between the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, and Chula Vista.
