The Clinical Research Services team is responsible for feasibility and research coordination for all clinical trials across all specialties. With the partnership with MD Anderson, our research team is growing fast. The Research Staffing Supervisor oversees a team of 10 that covers multiple locations and specialties.


To be successful, the Research Staffing Supervisor should be experienced in clinical research and able to understand protocols, conduct gap assessments while leading a team in process improvement and project management.

The Supervisor will be responsible for oversight, line management and administration of the clinical research staff of Scripps Health, in compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and obligations. This includes appropriate assignment of staff to clinical research studies. Tracks and reports agreed metrics related to staffing and productivity. Collaborates with other Scripps Health stakeholders associated with Scripps Clinical Research Services, when communicating with other institutions, sponsors, physicians, regulatory agencies and similar. Represents Scripps Health on issues related to research. Prepares, manages and oversees staff and budgets associated with department and individual research protocols.

This is a full time, salaried position, generally 8-5pm Monday through Friday.

Job Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of research experience as trials coordinator or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in IRB/regulatory compliance.
  • Human Subjects (IRB) training required.
  • CCRC or CIP required.
  • Will consider state licensure as registered nurse, LVN, PA or nurse practitioner with comparable with work experience in the research setting

Preferred:
  • Master's degree and BLS-C
  • 1 year management experience in a clinical specialty credential
