Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) team is an opportunity for you to practice as a Registered Nurse in L& D and Post Partum at all Scripps system (5) hospitals campuses.  As a member of the Resource Team, you can fill vital roles on a daily or longer term assignments providing critical coverage for sick calls, employees leave of absences and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. 
 
Join our SSRS team where you will provide supplemental staffing services in accordance with philosophy and expectations of System Wide Resource Services. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and functions under the oversight of the respective unit  as assigned. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patient’s progress towards expected outcomes.
 
 
The types of opportunities we offer are as follows:


SYSTEM WIDE RESOURCE TEAM - Permanent Scripps employees who support long-term assignments, typically 12 weeks in duration.
 
Seeking full-time and part-time staff with varied shifts.
 
 
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Two (2) years of recent RN experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D.)  Will consider someone with 18 months of experience with two or more years of experience in Maternal Child Health (MCH)/Post-Partum.   
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current CA RN License. 
  • Current American Heart Association BLS, NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring certifications required.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
 
Travel Requirements:  Work between the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego, and Chula Vista.
