Job Description

Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
 
This position is within Scripps System Wide Resource Services (SSRS) Department. Therefore, this is an internal Scripps Resource Team that has the opportunity to float to the following five hospitals: Encinitas, La Jolla, Green, San Diego and Chula Vista. Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills: Two (2) years of recent RN experience in an Acute care hospital setting within PACU or ICU. Will consider someone with 18 months of experience with two or more years of experience in a second specialty area. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN License Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required. 

Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
