Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Infusion

Join our Scripps Green Hospital Outpatient Infusion Team of Registered Nurses (RN). The RN will assist in navigating the patient from inpatient to the outpatient infusion room and provide infusions ranging from blood, chemo, electrolytes and some organ transplant care. The outpatient infusion room is adjacent from the Bone Marrow Transplant unit and the RN will work collaboratively with physicians and care team, as well as, further assisting the patient to the next appointment.
 
The Outpatient Infusion RN provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. They also notify the doctor of any problems or changes and maintain communication with patient and their families. As Outpatient Infusion RN, you will be amongst a team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient. You will have the support of your team to ensure optimal patient care and success in your role.
 
This is a 10 hour casual (per diem) day shift position. Shifts can be scheduled any day of the week and RNs rotate weekends.


Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment.
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Oncology, Infusion and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Experience
  • Chemo Certified
