The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

This is a Full Time 10 hour day shift position with call and is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum (1) one year recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab or ICU and/or ED or procedural area where sedation is performed
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Must and have excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
  • Current CA RN License.
  • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • NIHSS required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Education/Course(s)/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • 1 year IR experience
