REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – Endoscopy – Scripps Encinitas

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served the growing communities of San Diego’s coastal North County since 1978. We offer a full range of clinical and surgical services, including North County’s first Primary Stroke Center, a regionally recognized brain injury program, state-of-the-art imaging center, 24-hour emergency room care and award-winning OB-GYN, maternal health and infant health services.

As an RN within Endoscopy you will provide direct patient care within your scope of practice. This includes: patient care assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team working collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. You will be cross-trained to Pre-Op and float between Pre-Op and Endoscopy as needed.

This is a full time 8 hour day shift with varied start times. Call required (one weeknight call every other week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks).


Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of acute care RN experience.
  • Current CA RN License
  • Current BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN
  • Endoscopy experience
