The Cath Lab/EP RN in the Electrophysiology Unit will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. This includes: patient care assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
 
This position is FULL TIME, DAYS, 12-Hour shifts, and located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment electrophysiology lab or ICU RN experience
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS for Healthcare Provider certifications
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
 
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
