Join our Radiology department at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas as a Radiology Care Team Assistant and work closely with the Imaging Staff to deliver a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our patients. From a warm greeting and conversation, to the continuous focus on patient care, our Care Team Assistant professionals make a positive impact on the patient experience.
The Radiology Care Team Assistant provides patient care under the supervision of the Radiology Manager with guidance from Radiologist and Radiology Technologist. They assist staff to ensure optimal patient care. Provide and maintain a clean, safe and attractive environment for patients. Transport patients and supplies as needed. The Radiology Care Team Assistant also collaborates with Care Team partners to assure optimal patient care. Maintain clinical and mandatory education requirements. Assist other Care Team partners to assure optimal patient care. Maintain own competency and mandatory education requirements. Answer telephone and processes calls as appropriate. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in the Radiology Competency Assessment Tools, and ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for environment and job title.
This position is Casual (per-diem), working primarily weekend shifts, to include evenings and occasional overnights as needed, and is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • At least one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities
  • High school graduate or equivalent
