Scripps is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated Psychiatric Liaison, Clinical Partner to join our Mental Health team.  In your role as a Psychiatric Liaison, Clinical partner, you will function as part of a team to perform psychiatric evaluations of patients throughout the Scripps Health Care system. It will be your responsibility to commute throughout the system to provide diagnostic impressions, including differentiating between medical and psychiatric disorders and determining suicidality, homicidality and grave disability. Triage behavioral health patients to the level of care that will ensure appropriate utilization of resources throughout the community. As well as responsible for identifying and developing approaches to enhance behavioral health care of all persons throughout the system.
This is a Casual, 12 hour shift position with candidate needing to be flexible to various shift times (day, evening, night) as well as schedule.  Ideal candidate is highly flexible with scheduling, independent, service oriented, self-motivated and comfortable commuting throughout the Scripps System to visit patients.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Psychiatric LCSW, MFT, Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Psychiatric LCSW; MFT or Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association
  • Valid California Drivers License
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Five years of experience in psychiatric assessments in a behavioral health setting.
  • One year of experience in an acute medical setting.
