The Provider Data Analyst will perform critical activities related to Scripps Health Plan Services' online, and paper provider directories. Ensuring compliance with existing and future federal and state regulations, NCQA requirements related to provider directories, and related industry standards which may include any or all of the following: database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses, initiating database improvement. Provider Data Analysts develop and maintain standards for database integrity and quality assurance, coordinate activities and manage communication processes with other departments regarding database improvements. Other responsibilities include conducting audits and providing feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance, maintaining current provider data to ensure the quality of the provider directory process.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a managed care environment.
  • Thorough understanding of provider network management and internal operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Database management
  • MSOW experience
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Services, Health Care/Hospital Administration, or a related field, or any combination of education and/or work experience providing equivalent background required.
  • Epic Certification.
  • 1 year of experience in a Health Plan, MSO and/or an IPA. Epic Experience.
