The Project Manager will lead our Community Engagement CTSA Core.  The position will be heavily research-focused and candidates should have experience in community research/underserved populations in particular and familiarity with federal grant funding mechanisms.  Eg. Public Health, Psychology, Epidemiology programs that emphasize research. 
The Project Manager will interact closely with the STSI researchers (existing investigators, KL2s and TL1s) to capture components of their research to fit and set up a database. The impact of this work will allow effective annual reporting and future CTSA renewals. Work closely with the CE Core leaders to refine training programs for CE and create a new team science training curriculum. 
Develop an advisory board function that promotes bi-directional discussions between “community” and STSI researchers. Support “match-making” of researchers with community members to promote CEnR within STSI and the community. Explores the potential for collaboration in new communities. Potential communities identified in the renewal includes Central Valley Hispanics, Alaska Natives and Pacific Islanders.
This Full Time position is a grant funded role that is funded for 5 years. 

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience certification plus research focused experience in community research and underserved populations such as, Public Health, Psychology, Epidemiology programs.
  • Experience leading and facilitating work teams, with superior facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis. Proficiency with: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Project.

    Required Certification/Registration:

    Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Master’s degree or PhD graduate strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a multi-facility health care system.
