Provides expert management across the four stages of transplant care: Referral for transplant evaluation, transplant list waiting period, hospitalization for transplant and post-transplant follow-up and hospitalization. Responsible for kidney, pancreas and living kidney patients as well as general surgery patients for the division of organ transplant. Responsible for the education of recipients, families and living donors. Ensures policies and procedures are followed and are in alignment with United Network of organ Sharing (UNOS), CMS and Joint Commission.

Job Requirements


Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Excellent written and verbal organizational skills. Excellent Microsoft office software skills and mastery in use of Microsoft Excel. Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work well with others in a hospital setting and maintain professionalism. Ability to work independently and to lead a project. Excellent skills in communication and education with patient’s families.

Required Certification / Registration:
Physician Assistant licensure, must obtain certified Transplant Procurement Coordinator (CPTC) and Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) within 24 months after assuming the position. Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Education / Experience / Specialized Skills / Certification:
Master’s Degree preferred. Transplant experience strongly preferred.
