Job Description

This is a one-year post graduate year two, (PGY 2) specialty residency training program in which the Pharmacy Resident practices in a specialized area of Pharmacy practice. The Pharmacy Resident must be licensed or be eligible for licensure in California, be a US or naturalized citizen, have received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and have graduated from an accredited PGY1 program. The resident will be precepted by Pharmacy Residency Preceptors and Physician preceptors as appropriate for the rotation. The Pharmacy Resident will be responsible for meeting all requirements of the Pharmacy Residency within the training year as defined by the specific clinical specialty Residency Manual. The Pharmacy Resident will participate in post-graduate residency program sufficient to assure proficiency in all areas related to drug therapy and to function as a consultant to other health care professionals.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Graduate of Accredited PGY 1 Residency program.

Required Certification/Registration:Current California Pharmacist licensure -required within 90 days of hire. BLS from the American Heart Association
