Job Description

The pharmacy clinical coordinator is responsible for development, implementation of and coordinating of system pharmacy and therapeutics class reviews, preparing agendas, medication use evaluations (MUEs) and other duties as assigned.
 
Assists site clinical managers in the cost effective use of drugs within the facility, ensuring formulary compliance and evaluation. Also, monitors utilization patterns and reviewing the literature to assure the most up to date, effective therapy practices with respect to drug therapy are being utilized.
 
This position will work with the corporate pharmacy team and routinely interact with physicians, nursing staff and other healthcare workers in committees, workgroups and individual interactions.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Pharm.D. Degree required. 3-5 years hospital experience preferred, with 3 years in a clinical coordinator and/or P&T/drug information support experience required. Previous management experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to make verbal presentations to large groups. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint Good drug information retrieval skills.

Required Certification/Registration: California Pharmacist license. Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Pharmacy Residency preferred. BCPS preferred. Previous management experience preferred.
