The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator will be joining a core team of leaders dedicated to excellent patient care and providing support to keep our pharmacists at the forefront of their professions. The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator is responsible for development, implementation of and coordinating of system pharmacy and therapeutics class reviews, preparing agendas, medication use evaluations (MUEs) and other duties as assigned. Assists site clinical managers in the cost effective use of drugs within the facility, ensuring formulary compliance and evaluation. Also, monitors utilization patterns and reviewing the literature to assure the most up to date, effective therapy practices with respect to drug therapy are being utilized.

This is a full-time, salaried position.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Pharm.D. Degree required
  • 3-5 years hospital experience preferred, with 3 years in a clinical coordinator and/or P&T/drug information support experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to make verbal presentations to large groups
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint Good drug information retrieval skills
  • California Pharmacist license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


Preferred:

  • Pharmacy Residency 
  • Board certification
  • Previous management experience
