Job Description

The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation assessment prognosis treatment and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapists respective licensure/registration/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. Driver Rehabilitation Clinical Specialist provides complete evaluation and driver training for individuals with physical, cognitive and/or visual disabilities. This includes identification of needs for vehicle modifications as well as general adapted driving techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses. The Specialist is responsible for general program development and provides education to patients and families.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:B.S. Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Knowledge of patient focused delivery preferred. Must be able to have a variety of problem solving skills. Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills. Recent experience in neurological rehabilitation and spinal cord injury preferred. Must be in process of become a certified driving instructor. PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL WORK IN NORTHERN SAN DIEGO COUNTY.

Current certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board (AOTCB) or documented eligibility for completed certification.
