NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP) Trauma - Scripps Mercy San Diego

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego is located in the heart of Hillcrest. It was founded in 1890 and is the county’s oldest medical center. In 2018, Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego was ranked as 'high performing' by U.S. News & World Report in nephrology and boasts a Level 1 trauma center.
 
Join our close knit Trauma team as a Nurse Practitioner where you will assume leadership responsibilities and be active in program planning.  You will also oversee the coordination of orientation and participate in the education and staff development of direct patient caregivers.  Additionally, you will evaluate the clinical practice for the unit and monitor the standards of care. You will work closely with the attending surgeon, residents and interns and nursing staff rounding on patients, writing orders and doing dictations.
 
This is a full time (80 hours per pay period) salaried day position. (10 and 12 hour shifts)

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  •  Minimum Specialty Certification per area of expertise
  • 2 years experience in the APN role
  • ACLS & BLS Certifications (AHA provider)
  • Minimum of Masters Degree in specialty or related area of expertise
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years Trauma experience
  • MS/MSN preferred
