The Scripps Health Employee Care Clinic offers staff timely access to high quality care. The Scripps Employee Care Center Mercy San Diego serves the occupational medicine and workers compensation needs of employees. The on-site clinic is available to all employees who need limited non-work related medical care.
As Nurse Practitioner at Scripps Health Employee Care Clinic, you will, under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, perform clinical assessments and care management services for employees involved in occupational injuries as well as treat common episodic and health care conditions.  You will provide all services under protocols established with the Workers Compensation (WC)/Employee Care Clinic medical director.  Additionally, you will collaborate with WC Nurse Case Managers, Employee Health Services, Safety, and other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate.
This is a Part Time, 40 hour in a pay period, Benefitted 8 hour shift position located at Mercy San Diego.

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a practicing registered nurse, with 2 years experience as an NP preferred, preferably in an occupational or internal medicine setting. 
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English preferred. 
  • Must possess the ability to work collaboratively in a self-directed work team environment.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice in the state of California, MSN required. 
  • Possession of a current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner Program.   
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current CA RN license. 
  • Current Nurse Practitioner Certificate from state of CA. with furnishing license. 
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card. 
  • Prefer DEA license, COHN certification, or ANCC certification in specialty area.
