The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoys providing world class patient care.This position is perfect for a tech looking to pick up additional shifts, enjoys independent work and able to prioritize a busy schedule of an average 60-70 EEGs per month.

The Neurodiagnostic / EEG Tech will be joining two other techs to form a small, but mighty team to perform neurodiagnostic procedures which may include EEG, LTM, EMU, EMG, NCV, EP utilizing standard protocols supported by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists. May assist with long term monitoring under guidance and/or supervision of Long Term Monitoring Tech and/or Lead Monitoring tech. Responsible for patient preparation, equipment transportation, entering patient charges, and maintaining supply inventory.

This position is a part time position (40 hours per two-week pay period), and will float between Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego and Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista. This position will also take call and will be eligible for call differential.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • AA through Neurodiagnostic program or proof of CEUs
  • 6 months of experience (can be internship)
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Registration via ABRET for EEG
  • 2 years of experience
