The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will be joining a knowledgeable team of skilled, dedicated and caring professionals at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, serving central and downtown San Diego since 1890. With a Level I Trauma Center, the team at Mercy San Diego thrives in a fast-paced environment and prides itself in its efficiency and teamwork in processing and analyzing a high volume of specimens. To be successful, the MLT will be proactive, resourceful and reliable, as well as have hospital experience.

This is a casual (per diem) position with varied shifts including weekends. 

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of medical terminology, specimen collection, processing and testing techniques
  • Current California Medical Laboratory Technician license

  • Experience in a clinical laboratory preferred
  • Associate Science from an accredited university
