Our Scripps Medical Laboratory is our system's core lab, servicing all sites and processing over 2.6 million tests annually. With a culture centered around teamwork, each laboratory site serves as a resource of support for each other, setting our laboratories as the benchmark for standardization.

The team thrives in a fast-paced environment and prides itself in its efficiency and teamwork. To be successful, the MLT will be proactive, resourceful, reliable and a quick learner. The MLT works independently and ensures that all quality control is performed and documented according to policy and procedure and is responsible for clerical tasks, specimen collection, processing and testing using both manual techniques and automated instrumentation. The MLT will mostly work with moderate complexity testing.

This is a full time position on the PM/Evening shift, 3pm - 11:30pm including weekends.

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of medical terminology, specimen collection, processing and testing techniques
  • Current California Medical Laboratory Technician license

  • Experience in a clinical laboratory preferred
  • Associate Science from an accredited university
