As Manager, Real Estate and Leasing, you will manage the MOB Portfolio (Scripps is Landlord): Negotiate & complete all lease documents for approval within the framework of the MOB Leasing Program. Update Master Lease and MOB Leasing Program as required to keep current with market conditions, Handle lease administrative duties of the MOB portfolio. Outside Leases (Scripps is Tenant): Support Director of Real Estate in providing direction to outside brokerage advisory team including negotiating and completing leases. Review & correct administrative documents of leases, I.e., estoppel certificates. Management of the outside Lease portfolio including lease administrative duties.  Philanthropy of Real Estate Gifts: Support Director of Real Estate and Foundation in securing potential philanthropic gifts of real estate. Oversee selling of gift properties using outside brokers when applicable. Property Purchases and Sales: Support property purchase due diligence as requested.
This is a full time Manager position based in La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of commercial property and lease contracting experience in medical office property management.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 10 years of equivalent experience, 5 of which is in commercial property and lease contracting.
  • An understanding of the rapidly changing health care industry with the ability to adapt progressively to change.
  • Demonstrated highly developed analytical ability to understand complex financial activities of Scripps.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Real Estate License.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Master's degree.
  • Certified Property Manager.
