As Manager, Department of Medical Education for Mercy Hospitals and Home Based Care, you will oversee administration for daily operations of the Medical Education Program. Your duties will include: participation in the development and implementation of short and long term strategies for enhancement of graduate medical education at Scripps Mercy and within Scripps; responsibility for the preparation and administration of the departmental budget; responsibility for the coordination of medical education with Scripps Mercy administration, Scripps administration, and local and national extramural agencies and institutions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the preparation and data coordination for site visits by national regulatory bodies; establishment and coordination of the annual resident interview and matching processes; distribution, acquisition and analysis of housestaff, attending and teaching service evaluations; preparation, distribution and management of residency curricula, rotational requirements and policies and procedures to support chief medical residents; coordination of CME accreditation as well as Scripps Mercy GME educational conferences; daily management of office operations.

This is a Full Time, Manager position located at Mercy San Diego.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Five years experience in a medical staff office or graduate medical education office.
  • Two of which in a leadership role.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of ACGME requirements and experience preferred
