As the Manager, Clinical Informatics you will be responsible to oversee and direct the activities of the Clinical Informatics Nurse Team engaged in I.S. applications. Accountable for behaviors by using appropriate supervision to members of the team through effective feedback, evaluation and acknowledgement of team contributions. Support the team as a mentor and coach. Combine knowledge of clinical information tools and technologies with patient care and performance improvement expertise to enhance core clinical processes; develop and recommend system approach for adoption and utilization of acute care clinical information systems by Scripps clinicians and support staff.
This position will be at our newly designed, centrally San Diego located business services office, which offers an on-site café and gym.  This is a full time, salaried position and offers Scripps Health’s award winning benefit package along with relocation assistance to those that qualify.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in clinical informatics.
  • Prior experience with EMR/clinical information systems development, implementation, and optimization
  • Project management and performance improvement experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current Active CA RN license
  • Ability to obtain Epic Certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Epic Ambulatory, Clindoc or Orders Certification
  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Active member of appropriate professional organization(s); current practice maintained through continuing education and professional development.
  • Broad knowledge of health care information systems, documentation and computer applications.
  • Advanced certification or degree in clinical/nursing informatics
