Scripps Coastal Medical Center delivers exceptional health care in San Diego, with a highly engaged team of healthcare professionals. Our primary care physicians and their teams provide annual exams, preventive health screenings, wellness information and diagnostic services. 
 
We invite you to join our Family Practice clinic as an LVN.  You will work in a fast-paced environment where team spirit and work-life balance is strong, respect for one another is evident, and staff are empowered and have a voice in decision-making.  This position will provide vital support to two care teams , each comprised of two physicians, an Advance Practice Clinician, and two Medical Assistants.  The ideal candidate will be diligent, proactive, and able to multi-task.
 
As an LVN, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate. Educates patients and documents patient interactions. Practices infection control. Contributes to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice
 
This is an 8-hour, day shift position (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), located in Carlsbad.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Completion of accredited LVN program
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current LVN CA license
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Two (2) years of LVN experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting is strongly preferred
  • IV certification
  • Experience with Epic
