General Description
- The Primary Care Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) works closely with and is supervised by the physicians in a team based setting in the Division of Internal Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine. The APC is expected to have the highest standards for clinical capability, professional education, quality improvement and overall patient care. The position requires a current California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and DEA furnishing certificate. Full time is 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Assesses patients with numerous complaints independently and in collaboration with the supervising physicians
- Participates in acute and chronic care management of patients, specializing in assessment and documentation of high risk conditions
- Performs screening for high risk conditions
- Performs history and physical assessments
