The Tech Lead in this fast paced EP lab is responsible for assisting with daily department operations including day-to-day staff plans, workflow management, technical support, mentoring and training, and performance coaching/development of staff. As a part of the leadership team, the EP Lead performs quality audits, works towards assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures, keeps abreast of current policies, practices and procedures, and effectively utilizes departmental resources. The Lead assists in daily staffing and in urgent situations requiring immediate decision making and acts as a resource to provide guidance to staff and to facilitate timely and effective problem resolution. The responsibilities of the EP Lead also include assisting/preparing staff schedules, participating in new employee hiring, leading unit performance improvement projects, and providing feedback for consideration on staff annual performance evaluations. The Lead coordinates efforts of physicians, staff, vendors, and all departments through effective communication skills, and acts as a professional role model and leader for the staff.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of a formal training/Education program in an accredited school of CVT/RT. Knowledge of all aspects for EP procedures.

Required Certification/Registration: Current certification for CVT/RT, as appropriate. Current BLS from the American Heart Association.  RCES is preferred.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Minimum (5) five years of experience in an EP Lab with 3 or more rooms. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.  Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
