As Lead, Physician Resources, you will provide oversight and monitors quality and compliance of physician resources team to ensure reports, correspondence and support occurs timely and effectively. You will process physician employment status changes and medical malpractice insurance documents.  Be responsible for reprocessing denied claims and electronic physician billing reconciliation and payments. Provide day to day operations support. Participate in the development and implementation of processes and procedures. Collect performance evaluation feedback from employee, peers and physician team to assist in the drafting of annual performance evaluations. Coordinate staffing coverage to ensure effective daily operations. Assist manager with timekeeping edits in accordance with Scripps' policy.
 
This is a full time, 8 hour shift position located in La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in health care related environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, physician credentialing procedures and regulations, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. Knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft programs and database systems.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Associates Degree required.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Medical group experience.
