As the L&D/Post/Partum nurse leader working at Scripps Health Mercy Chula Vista, you’ll join a team of skilled medical professionals who provide superior health services in a caring environment. The Chula Vista campus offers 24-hour emergency care, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN), state-of-the-art imaging, cancer care, neurology, orthopedics, thoracic/vascular surgical capabilities, outpatient physical rehabilitation services and outpatient imaging. 
Established in 1964, Scripps Mercy Hospital, Chula Vista, joined the Scripps system in 1986 and became a campus of Scripps Mercy Hospital in 2004

 
This is the ideal role for a labor and delivery and post-partum nurse leader who is a compassionate and inspiring change agent. This is a full time leadership position over Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum.
 
Relocation Assistance available for an experienced Nurse Leader interested in living and working in San Diego.
 
 
 
 

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Associate's degree plus five years applicable clinical experience, two of which in a leadership role.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Maintains current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification 
  • Competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.
  • NRP and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or MSN preferred.
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
  • Epic experience highly preferred.
