Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor of Logistics, the Inventory Management Coordinator will work collaboratively and independently with department Managers and Directors, Staff, Vendors, Suppliers, Supply Chain Contracts and Procurement Department, MMIS, Finance, and Revenue departments. Responsibilities include: inventory management of all stock and non-stock items and following up on open orders. Adhere to inventory control guidelines and inventory methods. Organize product placement according to clinical need, manage inventory, and inventory maintenance and verification of charging for supplies and equipment used within the servicing department. Works with various teams to request new item adds and insures charge master is part of the request. Adheres to all policy and procedures within the clinic. The Coordinator will follow the product review process for their area. 
 
This is a Full Time, Days, and located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills/Training:
  • Effective and professional communication with all levels of the department, including physicians, directors, managers, clinical staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize work; ability to take direction from department management and direct reports.
  • Resourceful and ability to process supply situations immediately.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to different department ordering needs.
  • Computer skills, Lawson, Mobile Supply Chain, Handheld Devices, ERP, SDK, Access, GE CPM a must.
 
Required Education/Experience/Skills/Courses/Training:
  • High School education or equivalent.  
 
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certification/Registration:
  • 5-7 years of supply, purchase, inventory management experience, healthcare experience preferred.
  • CMRP preferred.
