With over a 30 years history in the San Diego community, Scripps Home Health Care offers quality health care in the place people are most comfortable — their home.  Our caring and compassionate professional team of nurses, therapists, and other staff provide personalized attention and cost-effective care, allowing over 7,800 patients each year to remain as independent as possible. Join the Scripps Home Health Care team as a Physical Therapist and provide individualized care to patients primarily located in the North County area of San Diego. This collaborative team is looking for someone who is energetic and is confident in their ability to provide appropriate care in any situation.

The Physical Therapist provides patient evaluation, assessment, treatment, and education according to therapist licensure, federal/state regulations, accreditation standards, and business unit policies and procedures. The therapist works cooperatively with members of the interdisciplinary team and actively participates in the coordination of services. The therapist has case by case responsibility to supervise home health aides and physical therapy assistants. The therapist participates in case conferences, team meetings, and other agency/systemwide meetings as requested. Performs other assigned duties. When the therapist does not function as case manager but is part of the multidisciplinary team, they will meet the job duty standards as team member therapist.

This position is a full-time (80 hours per pay period) and requires the ability to travel throughout the Northern San Diego County region, and other areas as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • Current Physical Therapist license in State of California
  • BLS certificate from the American Heart Association
  • At least two years recent experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior home healthcare experience
