The Food Service Assist (A-Vision) performs limited job functions to support and assist in the following food Service operational systems: safe food handling, meal assembly, customer service, and infection control/sanitation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JCAHO, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements. 
 
This is a casual/per diem, day shift position.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Successfully completed 120 day A-Vision Training Program in the FANS department.
  • Demonstrates competency in safe food handling, infection control, meal assembly and customer service.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English, follow oral and written instructions, and have basic math skills.
 
Required Certification/Registration:
  • San Diego County Food Handler Card
