Through collaboration and innovation, our IS professionals lead the frontier in caring for our community. The revenue cycle team is looking for an Epic Hospital Billing Application Specialist to join their team.

The Epic Hospital Billing Application Specialist is an expert on the Revenue Cycle Team and will act independently to lead cross functional, integrated team to create performance improvements across multiple domains. You will translate business requirements into operational solutions. As the Specialist on the team you are responsible for proactively evaluating technical enhancements and consulting with the business to provide solutions to technical or process issues, guiding to best practices. As well as providing guidance, train and develop the skills of less experienced IT staff members on the team.

This is a full time, salaried position located in our Scripps Office in the centrally located area of Mira Mesa.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Five years related experience.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant application workflows.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Business acumen in multiple functional areas.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration Certification
  • Epic Certification in at least one of the following: SBO, Claims Administration, Remittance, Contracts or Charge Router
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7 years of related experience
  • At least 3 years working with or supporting Epic Revenue Cycle applications
  • Operational or technical experience with Epic Revenue Cycle applications
  • Operational experience within any Revenue Cycle area.
  • Experience working with California-based Hospitals with complicated payor claims requirements
  • Experience with Epic Implementations and production support.
  • Workflow Design & Reporting experience, integrating systems, processes and people
