The Epic Community Connect Credentialed Trainer, under the oversight of the project supervisor, provides on-going training for Epic. This position provides staff support for assigned programs and services in collaboration with other members of the training team and the Center for Learning and Innovation leadership. The Epic Community Connect Credentialed Trainer conducts training sessions and assesses competencies of learners.

This position is a Limited Tenure position with an end date of December 2020. The position is Full Time, varied shift position (80 hours per pay period). The credentialed trainer position will be situated at our newly designed, centrally located San Diego business services office with the candidate needing to be flexible to visit our off site locations for training.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Epic Credentialed Training experience in Ambulatory or Community Connect.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent of one to three years of recent training/learning experience in a healthcare facility/support service department required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, planning, and follow-through required.
  • Knowledge of computer technology and applications as applicable for role.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize computer based instruction.
Required Education/Certification/Registration:
  • Epic Credential Trainer in one or more application
  • Ability to obtain Scripps Epic Credential Trainer Certification within 2 weeks of hire
Preferred Education/Certification/Registration:
  • Active Scripps Epic Trainer Credential in assigned modules
