Through collaboration and innovation, our IS professionals lead the frontier in caring for our community. As the Epic Beacon Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the IT operations of our Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and non-Oncology Infusion departments. You will also engage directly with providers and clinicians in our Oncology Pharmacies, Infusion Centers and Clinics and will support the operation of our Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Centers. Under general direction, the Epic Beacon Analyst participates on cross functional, integrated teams to troubleshoot complex problems across multiple domains. Designs, builds and tests system configuration. Translates business requirements into technical solutions and conducts quality reviews of system builds.

This position will be at our newly designed, centrally San Diego located business services office, which offers an on-site café and gym. This is a full time, salaried position and offers Scripps Health’s award winning benefit package along with relocation assistance to those that qualify. Candidate is required to participate in an on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • EpicCare Ambulatory or Willow Inpatient Certification
  • Ability to obtain Epic Beacon Proficiency or Certification within 60 days of hire
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Epic Beacon Certification
  • Has led small projects or technical activities.
  • Business acumen in functional area.
  • Bachelors degree
