Performs Neurodiagnosic procedures utilizing standard protocols supported by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists. Reports directly to a Patient Care Manager and works under the supervision of the Neurology Physicians. The procedures preformed include: EEG, Evoked Potential Studies.. The EEG tech is responsible for patient preparation, transporting equipment to bedside for in-house patients, maintaining computers/printers and other equipment, entering patient charges, ordering supplies, basic clerical work, appropriate storage of patient records and information. Assists other health care members to assure optimal patient care. Maintains own clinical competency and mandatory requirements. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies.. Demonstrates age-specific care as established for area and job title.
 
Full-Time 8 hour NIGHT shift position, Monday-Thursday

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills: EEG experience or graduate of EEG program.  Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Data Entry and computer skills. 
 
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:   High school graduate or equivalent.  
 
Required Certification/Registration: BLS by American Heart Association for Health Care Workers.
 
Preferred Education/Certification/Registration:    EEG program completion.    A.B.R.E.T., A.S.E.T. membership preferred.
