The Document Control Coordinator participates in creation of letters and benefit materials.  Responsible for management of company documents including tracking, retention, retrieval, destruction, disaster recovery, and mitigating fatal edits.  Participate in creation and management of health plan letters, forms, and policies. Edit a variety of materials for grammar, style, content, format, consistency, and quality. Follow approval and storage procedures. Develop and implement best practices for documenting changes and on-going improvement to streamline processes. Provide tracking and status of the document changes. Perform regular audits on all material to ensure all documents are up to date, properly stored and meet regulatory guidelines.  Creates agenda, meeting material, minutes, and PowerPoint presentations.  Assists in the pulling, version control and preparation for regulatory audits. 
 
They are responsible for working assigned queues, including making review determinations for referrals/authorizations on internal criteria list level. Responsible for preparation of authorization requests for internal RN review or external Health Plan review including obtaining appropriate medical records, Health Plan/Milliman criteria, benefit coverage information and forwarding to the appropriate reviewer. Enter review decisions in IDX. Act as a resource for referral/authorization questions from Health Plans and clinic staff.
 
This is a Full Time, Benefitted position located at our 4S Ranch Business Services offices.

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managed care setting preferably in utilization review.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding required.
  • High School Diploma.
Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with the Epic Medical Records preferred.  Strong organizational skills.
  • High level of independence and problem solving skills.
  • College or vocational class completion in medical terminology and coding classes.
