As Director Finance & Physician Compensation, you will manage $385 million contracts and 800 physicians. In this strategically important position, you will provide leadership and direction for administration of the Provider Service Agreements ("PSA") and Income Distribution Plans ("IDP") and the related finance and accounting functions within the Scripps Medical Foundation for three separate medical groups and, coordinates those functions with the appropriate corporate departments.

You'll provide management and oversight for the PSA operating budgets for each of the Foundation business units. Be responsible for financial planning and modeling, benchmarking, financial reporting and analysis, and opportunity assessment. Participate with leadership and physician relations staff to routinely evaluate and assess physician recruitment needs. Support the analytical needs of medical group development for expansion of existing groups and sites and new group development.

This is a Director Level position located in La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, healthcare or business administration.
  • Five years experience in multi-specialty physician compensation administration and modeling.
  • Proficient in computer-assisted processes and programs with the ability to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts and/or projections.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse organization.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Master's Degree, preferable in Finance.
  • Excel.
  • EPIC working experience.
  • Previous healthcare experience.
