Job Description

Provides administrative and clerical support for Food and Nutrition Services. Responsibilities include processing diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and distinguishing between food and medication allergies, Maintains current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician diet order. Checks tray line for patient tray accuracy. Able to function effectively in a call center environment. Serves as a liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about meals/diets.

Job Requirements

Required Certification/Registration: Food Handler Card; or Food Safety Certificate, or must pass Food Handlers test given by certified manager or designee within 30 days of hire.

PREFERRED Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Experience working in customer service position. Food service experience in institutional food service, healthcare. College courses in nutrition
