As Development Coordinator, you will assist directors of development in their efforts to cultivate new and upgraded gifts from clinic/hospital donors and prospects. You will assist physicians in organizing annual and major giving efforts specific to their areas. Play an integral role in developing/events staff in creating and coordinating fundraising events to benefit clinic/hospital approved priorities. Assist in planning and implementing programs/events for prospects and donors. Additionally, you will assist in establishing, implementing and maintaining programs that recognize donors to specified areas on the hospital campus. Provide support services needed to operate the development office.
This is a full-time position located our Scripps Mercy Campus in Hillcrest.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

•Undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Two years fund-raising or related volunteer and professional experience, preferably in a medical setting.
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with varied constituencies, including volunteers, physicians, patients and donors. Excellent writing and verbal skills.
•Computer proficiency, including expertise in Word, Excel and with databases.
•Ability to operate standard office equipment.
•Creative, self-starting, results-oriented and committed to working as part of a team enterprise.
•Ability to organize time effectively and manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Healthcare experience.
•Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
•Excellent diplomatic communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with varied constituents, partners, sponsors, executives, vendors and staff.
•Event planning experience.
