Our Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Imaging team uses the latest diagnostic imaging technology.  Scripps Imaging is recognized for having advanced equipment and tools available to deliver quality patient care. We have leading-edge practice environments and seek equipment that offers better ergonomics, reduced exposure rates and timesaving tools to help our imaging professionals do what they do best to offer exceptional care.
Join our team as a CE/EP Technologist where you will assist physicians as a scrub or monitor tech during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures and electrophysiological procedures. Assists with preparation of the patient for these procedures and maintains a therapeutic environment. Sets up, operates and ensures proper functioning of equipment associated with the procedures. Monitors and records events, including the performance of hemodynamic calculations. Removes selected arterial and venous sheaths post-procedure. Assists with patient transportation. Participates in quality control, preventive maintenance and performance activities.

Job Requirements

This is a Casual (Per-Diem) 8 hour shift that varies   

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology program or minimum of six months recent experience in an Interventional Cath Lab.
  • Technical competence in aspects of patient monitoring, diagnostic/therapeutic Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize during a crisis or stressful situation. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years’ CV/EP experience in a hospital setting
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
