The Lead position is responsible for department support through monitoring, coaching, and mentoring fellow staff as assigned by Department Manager and supporting managed as directed. Provides functional direction and technical support to Department Staff. Monitors and responds to departmental fiscal performance measurements.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years in a call center environment or equivalent years of experience in a medical business office or healthcare system.
  • 1 year of experience in a lead role.
  • Knowledge of medical practices, i.e., registration, claims, authorizations, admissions, enrollment and customer service policies and protocol. Excellent communications skills.
  • The ability to work with people at all levels and ability to take direction and also give direction while prioritizing numerous tasks.
  • Proficiency in PMA, Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with online/electronic authorization and claims systems.
