Join the rehabilitation team at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego as a Certified Occupational Therapy Aide, and partner with experienced therapists at this Level 1 Trauma Center and engage with a wide variety of patients. The ideal candidate will put themselves in the patient’s shoes, and partner with this passionate team to provide world class patient care.  
The COTA assists in the provision of therapy under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind and quality of the services provided by the therapist assistant through a continuum of care. This work is performed according to the assistant's licensure/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. Performs Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for area and job title.
This position is Part Time (48 hours per pay period) and located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. This position does require weekend availability.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Must have variety of problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers
Required Certification/Registration:
  • BLS for Health Care Provider
  • Current or pending California State licensure
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Recent experience preferred
