As Coordinator, Education Programs - Conference Services, you will work closely with physician Course Directors in the development of regularly scheduled series (RSS) continuing education programs (CME) for the medical staff at Scripps Green Hospital linked to performance improvement opportunities. You will help to identify, develop and produce other RSS’s to meet the needs of the medical staff across Scripps Clinic Medical Group. In addition, as coordinator, you will participate in the planning, organization and delivery of national medical education conferences and events ranging from 50-800 attendees, and lasting from 1-7 days in duration. You will utilize your excellent customer service skills in this role daily. For smaller day-long courses may act as lead, including traveling nationally and independent on-site management.
Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Compiling weekly/monthly RSS calendar(s) for Grand Rounds, Internal Medicine and Zebra conferences
  • Monitoring all RSS under the Scripps Clinic umbrella (up to 20 different programs) to ensure compliance with ACCME standards
  • Meeting scheduling, notifications, preparation, and onsite management
  • Maintaining CME records and computer database files, disclosure forms, etc. pertaining to the CME Program at Scripps Health
  • Processing requests for CME hours, accreditation applications, transcripts
  • Assuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Organization and Functions.

This is a full time 40 hour week position and some weekend work is required.


Job Requirements

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field.
  • Associate Degree accepted with related experience and commitment to acquiring bachelor's degree within 4 year period. (must show twice per year activity in achieving bachelor degree)
Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Requires excellent skills in written and verbal communication, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Knowledge of computer technology and applications as applicable for role.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple programs at one time.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
