Job Description

Coordination, preparation, and volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, catering/special events. Performs job functions to support the following Food Service operational systems; safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management and infection control/sanitation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JCAHO, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills: 2 years' experience in quantity food preparation or 1 year experience with culinary degree from accredited institution.

Required Certification/Registration: Food Handlers Card or the Serve Safe Certificate or able to pass Food Handler's Test given by verified manager or designee.

Required Education/Course(s)/Training: PREFERRED Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Prefer experience in quantity food preparation in healthcare. Prefer Serve Safe Certificate. Prefer formal culinary/quantity cooking education.
